Worst pump everIt is so noicy that makes expressing the milk near the sleeping baby a nightmare. Every time I tried to express the milk, as soon as I switch the machine on, baby will wake up & start crying. I have tried other pumps as well & I can express more milk out, using the other pumps then Avent Breast Pump Comfort Single Electric. Too many parts to clean & to assemble before each expressing session.

Love this product.I am really happy with this breast pump. I have a manual breast pump and I wanted a pump that was easier to use and be able to express more milk faster.

I had to substitute comfort for quantityBy mistake I discovered that the breast pump works better without the silicone cushion. I purchased the pump 4 months ago and in the first few weeks it was fine but it wasn't long before the flow started to slow significantly and the time I needed to pump began to increase. Recently I have needed to turn to the pump a little more to help with a supply issue and due to its lack of effectiveness I had started to research alternative brands. Then i accidently used it this morning without the cushion and hey presto we had some success....its a strong pull though and I'm just wondering if over time it will start to leave its mark on me. Time will tell but hopefully I will sort out my supply issue before then.

Poor pump designSo after 15min of pumping only to have a dribble. We decided to rip the cusion off and give it a crack. Now works fantastic. All you have to do is redesign the rubber as its affecting the seal around the nipple amd the pumps will be great once again

Perfect PumpI bought this pump on the way home from the hospital and have not been disappointment. With a premature baby that could not latch this pump was perfectly easy to use, small enough to pop into the nappy bag if we were going somewhere where I'd have the chance to pump. Sleek design, sturdy and considering I was pumping 10-12 times a day to begin with, it was up to the job.
Would recommend this pump to anyone!

Waste of moneyOn a recent interstate trip my old Philips Avent pump (the electric one with the grey top that lets you set the suction/speed yourself) broke in transit, so I straightaway went to the nearest chemist and got this new pump. I didn't check any reviews as I trusted the brand and the product. Boy do I wish I had done my research...
First time using it, I pumped 20mls after 10 mins and got a cracked nipple - I normally have a fast flow and can pump 100ml quite quickly but I perservered to try to at least get something out. Second time was the same, I'm not trying a third time. The suction is terrible, the speed is soooo slow and is a waste of time.
What was supposed to be a lovely first family holiday away has turned into a nightmare as I've now had to fork out for 2 pumps (which is not ideal when you're down to one income), I'm incredibly sore from attempting to use the pump and it's affecting my milk supply.
Why change the old design, what was wrong with it? Bring it back, please!

Good pump for once-a-day useBought this pump on sale to provide top-ups or the odd full feed for my 12 week old. I had used a hospital grade pump in the first 6-8 weeks, and i find that the avent pump gets better results. I like the soft silicon in the funnel part - it feels more gentle and natural which i think helps with the result. Also, no spillage. I agree with others that the suction is not great but I still prefer this pump even if it takes a bit longer to get the required mls. I'm not sure how this pump would perform for someone needing to pump for more feeds. Personally, I hated pumping before but the avent pump has made it tolerable. Happy with my purchase so far!
