Have you even tested this?!
I am using Avent single breast pump for a month now. Since beginning I had issues with upper lid which would always dettach from pressure I had to press to close it again every 2 minutes. The sound is terrible, I bet that even actual cow milking machines sound better. I needed 1hr of pumping to get almost all milk out, but some of it always remained behind, so my milk supply decreased. Finally, a month after purchase it creates almost no vacuum
at all!! I checked everything - both lids, silicone at the nipple-hole... everything seems fine but it simply does not work. At this point more milk gets out when I simply squeeze my breast, than with the pump. The problem is that I had no choice on purchase - Avent has monopoly on breast pumps inmy country (literally no other brand for pumps) - but I am so mad that I will take time to write to each retailer in the country about my experience.

First time I've used a Phillips breast pump and I'm very pleased with the results! In the past you could tell other brands weren't made to be comfortable or to last so well but you can tell this is made of high quality materials. Also had very helpful support from a professional which really helped to make me more confident breast feeding. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great little pump
This is a great little pump.
Firstly the instructions are clear and not over complicated. Once you have put the pump together once or twice it becomes very easy to remember what goes where.
It's not too noisey so great if you have a sleeping baby or expressing somewhere like at work. It can be both mains operated and battery operated, if the battery's are in the machine it will automatically use the main supply if plugged in.
There is a stimulation setting, then three auctions settings.
I was able to pump with ease in the mornings. I have used another pump which had a stronger pump setting than this pump could offer but it's not really required (was a hospital one) and the Philips one is sufficient.
My baby took the Philips bottle ok but I was advised by the breastfeeding consultant that a shorter teat would be better from another brand as this would mimic more natural feeding, hence why the pump had 4 stars and not 5!
Over a this is a great pump that I would reccommend to others.
The support recieved the from breastfeeding consultant was invaluable and a great idea to combine the two! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very comfortable to use
I have used this pump to start to gain a bank of milk ready for returning to work. I have found it very easy to put together and use.
The funnel is very comfortable, although it is a little difficult to see to line up my nipple.
I like that you can sit back and relax whilst pumping without worrying that the milk is gathering in the funnel.
The controls are simple and I like that you can override the pumping to go straight to expressing, which is useful when pumping after feeding. The pump is powerful enough to get a decent quantity of milk.
The pump is easy to take apart to wash and sterilise and has a cover for the funnel to keep it clean.
The product would benefit from having a bag to keep the pump in when not using or when travelling to keep it all together. The lead is nice and long and great that you can use batteries too!
The machine isn't too noisy, it sends may baby to sleep when pumping in the same room!!
Overall, I have found this a good product for pumping a few times a day. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This breast pump is the best I have used. If you are undecided between a manual and electric pump, let me tell you, this pump is so very worth it! It encouraged my let down beautifully and the 3 speed settings allowed me to control my rate of flow also. It is also the most comfortable pump, not only on your nipple where it gently massages and encourages your let down, but also you can sit back and relax and there is no sitting foward (or a bad back from doing so). My let down was activated so quickly and I had pumped 4 ounces in 10 mins on my first time. This was a big difference on using another brand manual pump which only allowed me to pump around 2 ounces in around 20 mins. I would definitley recommend this to everyone I know having or who has a baby. It is a great essential for mum to either exclusivley pump, occasionally pump and to pump to increase supply or help with oversupply. You will not regret purchasing this product. Very comfortable express pump!
Initially I felt a manual pump was sufficient for expressing until I began to feel sore and realised it was not practical for long term use. The electric pump on the other hand has been a much different story.
It's petal feature on the folange is massaging and you don't feel any rub or tug with either 3 modes (slow, medium, fast flow) - it's very soft and I can almost say it feels quite natural! The machine does make a rythmic clicking sound when in use but I found my LO sleeps through the noise!
Sterilising the pump can be a bit fiddly just because of the parts sealing tightly together, but it's not that hard.
The professional support that came with the product was well worth doing, the women are very helpful and advise you tailored to your needs and wants from expressing /breastfeeding. Nice little add on to this product!
Overall it's a very simple pump with a cute design, very easy to handle and use too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A very good pump which is simple to use.
After using the Medilla swing while in hospital I knew I was going to exclusively express as my baby had trouble latching on. Once home I set up the Avent pump which was easy to do and gave it a go.
I had a very good milk supply so only needed to use the first stage for a minute or so before moving on to the longer suction to get my milk out. I felt it was a very good pump which worked well for me and by day 5 (when my milk had fully come in) I could fill a small bottle in 20 minutes with its help!
It's lightweight and has a long cable which is very helpful as it's not restrictive of where you can sit. It also can be used laying back which is so so helpful as I know other pumps you have to sit forward which isn't always comfortable at a time when you need to be relaxed. True to the Philips Avent brand
First, I must tell you I received a free pump in exchange for my honest review. This pump is pretty similar to the other Philips Avent pump I have used. A nice thing about this pump is that you don`t have to lean forward to use it so it can be a bit more comfortable (comfort is key to pumping!). I have a strong letdown and for others like me, if you are using a single you may want to have an extra bottle/cup to catch milk from the other side while you pump.
I am honestly not a huge fan of pumping in general (I AM a fan of breastmilk but typically find pumping to be less comfortable and more work than breastfeeding) so a few tips for those who are new to pumping and think this pump (or any pump) is not working for them: Comfort is important. If you are stressed or scared of using the pump, do your best to calm down. I know it sounds silly but dim the lights, play relaxing music, breathe deeply, and think warm thoughts about your baby. If you are using a single and have the ability to, try pumping on one side while feeding your baby on the other. I found it helped me get used to pumping and I generally was able to get more milk this way.
