My SmartSleep score versus another device's results
Published on 2021-12-29
If you wonder why your Philips SmartSleep Deep Sleep Headband results may differ from the those of other sleep metric devices, please find the answer to your questions here.
Why does my headband and other sleep monitoring devices say that I slept different amounts of time?
Your headband uses an advanced method for determining your sleep, similar to the equipment used in a clinical sleep lab. Much like a heart rate monitor that monitors your heart beats, the headband is measuring precise sleep data from your brain while you sleep. Most other devices are not a direct monitor, they are monitoring from a distance or with different metrics and therefore you are getting a variation in the measurement of your sleep data.
