Rated 2 out of 5 by Dustbunny Somewhat useful for light cleaning
Fits under most furniture and the two brushes are good at collecting bits. Very good at doggedly cleaning the same spot multiple times and turning clockwise no matter how hard you try to make it stop. The narrow suction mouth fails to slurp up any dustball larger than 1cm diameter and cannot cope with any but the tiniest bits of stick or paper. The lid is a pain to slide off and on -- I have no idea why they did not simply make it a hinged flap. The inability to get anything but tiny particles into the dust catcher means it very soon collects a wad of fluff under it which must be constantly removed. Maybe if used every day this would be better, but twice a week is a chore. It needs a much better not-moving-forward sensor -- gets stuck against straight walls (!). Must be constantly shepherded.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kathrynb Good until the brush section decided to stop spin
Loved this product. So easy to use and perfect for those in between cleans. However at 25 months the brush on the right decided to stop spinning meaning it only catches some of the stuff on the floor. The filters are also hard to come by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by atsc Very good...
We had that other brand. It was too high and would jam under furniture. It also broke down to the point of being unusable. The easystar is so simple to use and actually cleans our tile floors better than brand R. The design is also simple, much simpler than competitors. Simpler is good. Much less to fail... We are happy. Asthma means I need to keep the floors clean of dog hair. This just works. Flick the switch away it goes... Perfect. Thank you Philips.

Reaches places where ordinary vacuum cleaners won't however it does get stuck. Great if there's less items on the floor.

Never had one of these before so we took the risk and bought one.The Phillips has a low height(5cm) and can get under most of our furniture .The other feature is it has longer brushes and can reach into corners better. The battery lasts 65min.We have a timber floor and it seems to give the timber a sheen,we are very happy with the Phillips FC8802/71.

Purchased this less than a year ago but now the battery only lasts for about 8 minutes. Then takes 4 hours to recharge so not that useful. Was working great, getting about 45 minutes vacuum time when first purchased, but have gradually been getting less vacuum time.
Not sure what to do, buy a new battery and cross fingers? Not sure how much a new battery will be.
