Easy to use, hoping it keeps its promise..
I'm a 23 year old, pale skinned, quite-hairy male (especially on my legs - which I hate) with brown hair and I just bought the Lumea Plus for Men yesterday (Tuesday August 20th 2013).
I got to work on my legs today - shaving them first took like an hour-ish, and then the application of the device itself took me about an hour and a half for one leg... Which is somewhat frustrating and time consuming, but if the device does what it promises to do, then I'm willing to put in the hours. It's fairly tricky to do your ankle area, and around the knee's, but there's a bit of a knack to it and once you get used to it, it's fairly straight forward - especially with the slide & flash feature.
I have it on charge now so I can do the 2nd leg today. I'm planning to use it on my legs, chest, shoulders, abdomen and the "nether-regions"..
One thing I am concerned about is that after having used it on one leg, it's still prickly like it was before I used the device.. Although, the description on the website, philips.com.au, states, "Philips Lumea for Men applies gentle pulses of light to the hair root. As a consequence the hair sheds naturally and hair regrowth is inhibited." I'm assuming the prickliness I'm experiencing is because the hair follicles haven't shed yet because I only just used the device...??? Time will tell and I will be closely monitoring it over the next few days/week..
I will come back and update with my progress. Fingers crossed!!!

Been using it for about 2 months and found it to work as described. I have very pale skin and very thick dark hairs on my chest, arms and legs. After the first use I noticed a difference already. After about 5 uses on my pits I barely have any hair growing there now. On my chest and tummy it has grown much thinner, in other places I notice no regrowth at all. I'm expecting it to grow back in all places, though, but the hairs are so fine I can barely see them in places. I'm not sure how effective this would be on other skin types as my skin is almost white and I set it to 5 for most areas. One thing I noticed and might be worth getting the engineers to look into is that when the ready light comes on, I find if I wait a couple more seconds it seems to blast even more light. Maybe it's just me I dunno, might want to check into that. Also I found I had to do a lot of overlap work otherwise it would get a bit patchy with the zapped hairs. I found then that the battery would ruin out halfway through a leg or the tummy. Other than that I found it highly useful and does it's job.

I promised an update, so here it is.
It works.. It's now Dec. 10th and I haven't used it on my legs for almsot 2 months and the hair has been dramatically reduced (I did about 3 or maybe 4 sessions before i had a 2 month break). I would say the hair has been reduced by just about half. I didnt buy the product the have completely hairless legs permanentely anyways, so im just going to keep doing them when I can and have the time and over time it'll just keep reducing.
Also, I have done my chest about 3 times and it has dramatically reduced too - about to do my 3rd or 4th treatment on abs. I plan to do it virtually everywhere in the end or until the device dies.
Ps. The prickliness I mentioned initially reduces over-time. ALL hair doesn't shed from treatment one, but the folicles that were affected did shed over the 2 week period after the treatment.
Also, I just did the 2nd treatment on the forearms and they have already reduced in regrowth and the hairs are a lot more sparse than before.
It's a good investment if you're looking to reduce body hair or are uncomfortable with your too much body hair.
