My Philips facial hair remover irritates my skin
Use on facial hair only
Please note that your facial hair remover should not be used to shape eyebrows. The device will remove every hair it comes into contact with and is, therefore, unsuitable for precision trimming.
Clean after every use
Please refer to the illustrations below for guidance on how to clean your device.
Indications that you need to clean your facial hair remover include reduced closeness, a hair-tugging sensation, the device not switching on, the battery draining quickly or the device making an unusual or loud noise when in use.
Check your device for damage
Damage can include a broken, tilted or bent shaving head, or visible sharp edges. If your device shows signs of damage, it should not be used. Please contact us for support.
Additionally, a low battery can lead to declining performance. Always replace the battery if your facial hair remover is less effective.
Technique
Press firmly enough to retain contact with the skin, but avoid pressing hard enough for the shaving head to cause an indentation when pressed against your cheek.
Move the shaver across your skin in small, tight circular motions, avoiding repeatedly going over the same area.
Allow your skin to adapt
This will allow your skin to adapt to the new hair removal method.
