How do I clean my Philips Airfryer XXL?

If you are wondering how to clean your Philips Airfryer XXL, please read here how it works.

How to clean the Airfryer XXL

The pan, the basket and the fat reducer of your Philips Airfryer are dishwasher-safe. You can also clean them with hot water, liquid soap and a soft sponge.

Please keep in mind:

  • Let the Airfryer cool down for approx. 30 minutes before you clean it.

  • The pan and the basket of your Airfryer have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean the pan or the basket as this may damage the surface.

  • If food residues are stuck to the bottom of the pan, fill it with hot water and detergent and leave it to soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Soaking will loosen the residues and make them easier to remove.

Cleaning the heating element (located inside, on the top area of your Airfryer)

  1. Unplug your Airfryer and make sure that it is not hot.
  2. Remove the basket.
  3. Turn the Airfryer upside down to reach the heating element more easily.
  4. Clean inside with hot water and a soft sponge.
  5. If necessary, food residues stuck to the heating element can be removed with a soft to medium bristle brush. Do not use a steel wire brush or a hard bristle brush, as this could damage the coating of the heating element.
  6. The area behind the heating element can be reached with a flexible brush.
  7. After cleaning your Airfryer, turn it on and let it run for a few minutes without any food in it. Loosened residues that could not be wiped off will now be caught in the pan.
