Automatic Milk Frother, Stainless steel HD8752/03

Troubleshooting

My Philips/Saeco espresso machine will not froth the milk

In the unfortunate event that your Philips/Saeco espresso machine's milk carafe or automatic/classic milk frother won't froth the milk, there might be a simple solution.

Using a Milk Carafe

1.) The milk carafe/parts are dirty see cleaning video

  • Detach all parts and clean them with warm water/washing-up liquid
  • For a thorough clean, use the Saeco Milk Circuit cleaner CA6705
  • If cleaning does not improve the milk frothing result, descale your machine. Internal circuits might be clogged up with scale

2.) The milk carafe dispensing spout is not completely pulled out or set to the correct position

  • Pull the dispensing spout of the milk carafe out fully, and set it to milk froth

3.) Different types of milk produce different amounts and qualities of froth
We have tested the following milk types, which proved to deliver a good milk froth result:

  • Semi-skimmed or full-fat cow's milk
  • Soy milk
  • Lactose-free milk
