My pump has a charging, battery or power issue

If your Philips Avent electric breast pump does not turn on, does not charge, turns off by itself, only works when connected to a power source (battery version), or displays "Er" and then turns off, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

This article applies to Philips Avent traditional electric breast pumps (single and double electric models). It does not apply to the wearable or hands-free breast pumps.

Before you start

Identify the motor unit of your breast pump:

White motor unit (1)

  • This breast pump has a rechargeable battery and can be used on battery power or while connected to a power source.

Pink motor unit (2)

  • This breast pump must remain connected to a power source during use.
