Soundbar speaker

i purshased this a year or so ago, and rarely used it but since my surround amp is now going in for repair i decided to switch her on , and i must say it is pretty impressive , plenty sound and the surround option does add some surround effects quite well ,, obviously not as good as my dedicated surround amp but gives fairly good spacial sound , so i am pretty pleased, and when i get my amp back i may still be using this for my tv sound when i dont want the amp on like poss just watching normal tv .

Very easy and flexible to use. Connections 5 x Star for Optical. Overall very happy and would highly recommend for entry into TV Sound Products.

Very easy to set up. The sound quality is very good and the design is clean and simple. For the price it's a good all round piece of sound equipment that vastly improves the viewing experience.

I wanted to improve the sound performance of my flat screen LCD TV. I opted for Philips as I have confidence in the brands products through previous purchases. Very easy to set up, I decided to use the optical cable. The remote lets you control volume, treble & bass levels. There is also a Surround sound function, depending on what you're watching it can just sound echo-ie. That said when watching movies or sport, it gives it a cinematic feel. My only concern is that the remote is slight & there is no controls on the unit itself. Although for the price it is amazing good value.

I bought the htl2100/12 sound bar over 10 years ago, and I haven't used it for a while. Lately I came to used it again, but it will not work, the top round lights flashes around 3 to 4 times, and it will not switch on, even with the remote. Can something be done. Thank you for any support.

This im sure would be a good products as I'm happy when it works, something needs doing about the remote or there needs to be a manual switch. I've tried to switch it on this morning and after pressing the on switch 53 times!(yes I did count!) I gave up and just used my tv volume which kind of defeats the object of purchasing a sound bar

The instructions didn't help inasmuch as when I switch on the sound bar the volume is minimal and I have to adjust it upwards every time I switch on the TV. There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the system to set the sound to how I want it for every viewing. It seems to default to very quiet each time it's turned off. A friend says he has one he can set to his ideal volume, but I don't know the make if his.

The price is good for the bottom end of soundbars, but I constantly have trouble with the small remote which I consider quite useless. No switches on speaker when the remote fails to do the job properly. When television is in mute the sound bar is much better than the speakers on the television so this sound bar does the job. I wish I had match the sound bar with the television which I still might do. You get what you pay for. I`m sure in the top range of the makers sound bar you would get a much better system, also I did not see any other sound bar that came in at this low price.

not as good as i thought it would be. i wish i had paid extra and got proper surround sound.

Was a good price when I bought it, but the remote is very poor. When first switched on its much too loud and the remote only works 1 press in 10. No buttons on the bar itself to allow you to control it directly. Having said that, the actual sound itself is good and great when you don't want to run cables everywhere.
