PerfectCare ExpertSteam generator iron

I will never go back to the standard iron again. My 3 kids arrive home on a Friday night from weekly boarding school and hit me with their dirty washing, it used to take me all afternoon to do their ironing, now it is done in under 2 hours. I find I iron everything because its so fast and does a great job, no longer need to put the denim in the freezer to get the creases out. Its so good you almost always only have to iron one side of a garment.

I had this iron for just over 5 years and it transformed the choir of ironing, but unfortunately after 5+ years of sterling work it started to smoke followed by a flash and so it was time for safety reasons to look for a replacement and I had no hesitation in going for the latest model of this iron from Phillips lets hope it is as good as the one it replaced.

When I first tried this steam generator I got really excited by the fact that i did not have to adjust a dial as you normally would for other irons, to accomodate for different fabrics. I gained trust in its optimal temeperature feature, when I left the iron on my silk scarf for five minutes and it did not burn. Another great advantage is how fast I manage to iron my shirts with great results. Moreover, it is easy to use, the steam function is amazing as it makes it easy to glide through fabrics. The helpful lock on the iron allows you to carry the iron easily. However, the main point is that my partner got so excited by this technology that he is not letting me iron his shirts and even doing mine, thats what I call success :)

I have been wanting a new iron for so long - completely fed up with my old "normal" steam iron sticking to fabrics at will. I went out with the intention of getting another but more expensive model. I was totally resistant to getting a steam generator because I thought it was too bulky to store and too difficult to carry. However a lovely helpful Phillips assistant gave me a demonstation and I tried it for myself and I was sold! (Without any pressure for the sales assistant - the product sold itself). She warned me about the noise but for me this isn't a problem though maybe if you iron in a room full of people they might complain. I love that the iron locks in position so carrying is easy. Its brilliant on all fabrics - I have a gorgeous silky duvet cover which I have only even ironed on the underside with limited success for fear of burning but this iron just glides over the fabric. In fact it does glide over every type of fabric. I get such great results that ironing is actually more enjoyable! Perhaps my only minor negative comment would be storing the power cord, I think a little more thought and design could have been put into this. For anyone like me who is resisting purchasing one of these types of irons do go somewhere you can try before you buy.

It does what it says and after spending I don't know how many hours reading other customers comments which were all in favour bar a few negative ones I'm glad I spent the money. I suffer with COPD and it has made life a lot easier,I have always enjoyed ironing because I look out into my garden when doing it and it just makes life easier when you have not only a good outlook but a fabulous iron to do it with. I can't recommend this iron highly enough. It's a pleasure to use but I would advise to use de-ionised water or still water and also John Lewis sell a product which is a water softener and I'm using that as we have very hard water in our area.this product will turn your ironing days around and you will be running away with the smoothing iron! It may seem expensive when you first look for a steam generator iron, but this product is worth every penny. I'm actually one of those people who enjoying ironing :-) and this superb generator has made it even easier. A great investment and don't have a bad word to say about it.

This system is so easy to use its a pleasure to iron. No messing with temperature guage and definately no burning of silk fabrics. Its definately the best steam generator iron I have ever used.

I used to hate ironing, as it consumped a lot of my time: need to sort out the cloth first, and put in right temempare, I have to look for the cloth lable for the right dots. And I kept looking for userfriendly irons which can help me to make ironing life easier. Finallyyyy!!! Philips offered a revolutionary product PerfectCare which is Perfect!! I love it a lot. And the greatest thing of this, I do not need to worry my garment get damaged, becasue using this iron can never get burn garment!!

Before I hate irining but I like it very much now. It is very easy, nice job with this tool.
