Sparkle Up!Soda maker CO2 cylinder

eBay has a number of suppliers that will refill the cylinders. You return at your cost, they fill and ship back. It's about the only solution for Philips

The machine is a good product, however in the UK the gas is only available from SodaStream. After some research, sodastream will accept the original philips bottle, had to download a form from their website to do this though.

I can't find details anywhere on where to recycle the CO2 bottles. Please advise.q

I love having no more plastic bottles to recycle, however, I cannot find any information about recycling or refilling the canisters anywhere. Would be really grateful for this information as I now have about 10 empty ones!

Nowhere in Vienna can not find replacement cylinders from PHILIPS, suggest an alternative, what company cylinders are suitable ?

An excellent product, we have used it daily , however now the time has come to change the cylinder I can find no one will accept it because it doesn't say sodastream on it!! Sainsbury and Argos can sell me a sodastream cylinder, but I am left with an empty gas cylinder. It's all very well telling units compatible, but that doesn't help in creating waste and costing us more money. The very reason we bought it in the first place!!

Received one for Christmas. I was lucky to get up to 20 litres from the carbonating bottle. 60l is totally inaccurate and misleading. Very disappointed.

We don't get 60 bottles of fizz from one canister - more like 40. Sodastream takes back its empty canisters but Philips doesn't seem to, which is very poor. We now use Sodastream canisters but I'm left with a Philips one I can't get rid of. Should have bought Sodastream appliance.

Unfortunately I cannot give a zero star review. The website simply states ‘cartridge 913 is no longer available’, no instructions on how and where to recycle or refill, zero responsibility. What an absolute waste of money.

I have 2 of there cylinders and no way to have them refilled. The point of buying these is to re-use and save plastic. Not ideal that have to buy a full bottle with no exchange options. Are Philips measuring their sustainability as a business? Surely this is an obvious gap.
