How to clean the soleplate of my Philips Steam Generator Iron

Option 1:

Clean the surface of the soleplate of your Philips Steam Generator Iron with a moist cloth. You can use a small amount of washing-up liquid to remove difficult stains.
Option 2:
Switch on the appliance and let it heat up. When the appliance has heated up, move the iron over a moist cloth while you press the steam trigger (see image below). Ensure that you clean the soleplate regularly for smooth gliding.
Note: Do not use soap or scrub the soleplate during cleaning.
