My Philips kettle stays in the "ON" position

Make sure you close the lid properly after filling your kettle with water. If the lid is not closed correctly, the kettle will not switch off automatically.

For safety reasons, your Philips kettle has a maximum (MAX) level indicator that indicates how much water it can contain. If you fill your kettle above this MAX level, hot water could come out of the spout.

Also, if you do fill your kettle above this indication, water could get into the steam tube and cause the kettle to stay in the “ON” position.

Please do not add water above the maximum level indication.
