This small projector has a great picture quality and impressive speakers. I'd strongly recommend it!

The Device is small and compared to many other projectors has superb build quality. I disagree with comments about screen quality my normal Screen is a Samsung G9 so quality wise you cant compare any projector to a native Screen or home theater. I have a Samsung S95 "65 inch TV". So you cant go the projector route and then scream quality. Many factors depend on if youre on a wall or pull down screen, or paint used if Light reflecting or absorbent.

I bought this as an alternative to a 50" bedroom TV (nighttime usage only), and I think it serves that purpose perfectly. It does take some time to dial in the picture settings - they could have made the default modes better. But once you get it right (I used my iPhone as a reference for color balancing), it looks excellent. I wish it were brighter, but that's what you get for the size/cost tradeoff.

Overall, it is a great product; it does what it was designed for; one thing that needs improvement is the fan noise....

Great little unit that shines in a dark environment and does what it intends to do. Don't go in with expectations that this small portable LED UST unit is is going to outperform a 10x more expensive laser UST. Flexible enough to use it as second monitor for my office and also a handy second big screen TV when I need it. There are no smart tv features or wifi, which I really like because I tend to find smart tv OS bloated and ignored anyway in favour of a streaming device. It has a light and responsive Android OS which I like and really needs to be paired with a streaming device - I use the Google Chromecast with TV HD version which is a perfect companion but a shame the USB does not supply enough power from the unit, so it needs to be powered externally. Strange choice of power options means you can't use the Chromecast remote to power the unit on and off, though volume is fine. Auto focus and auto calibration is comedically awful, but manual adjustments would yield a pretty good picture. Picture quality overall is not bad though the top of the image is noticeable a bit blurry - a limitation of the size and portability of the unit but it's been engineered to prioritise sharpness towards the bottom so subtitles are always clear and sharp. The built in speaker is a little muffled - that sounds quality when a small speaker is trying to put out too much base but Philips have advised EQ settings are coming in a future update. Largely irrelevant anyway as there are two separate Bluetooth channels and a mini stereo jack so you're more likely to want to pair with high quality headphones or speakers for great sound quality.

The package and form factor is 10/10. The actual picture quality a bit disappointing. Colors are blown out in default settings, and image is not that sharp. But my biggest gripe though is that it doesn't have wifi connectivity for the price tag. If you have a very specific reason to get it - go for it but for a tv replacement it is really lack luster.

Image is only sharp in the centre - it's like bookeh effect - but even less desired. I like the way build in speakers are tuned; micro cinema experience. There's no way I'd recommend it to anyone with sucha poor image quality and lack of wifi connection (features).

After buying the PicoPix Max I decided to participate in the fundraising campaign on Indiegogo for Screeneo U4. I paid €600 for the product in August 2022 and was subsequently asked for VAT and shipping for the value of €180 (valore totale ~800€). The product is struggling to arrive, and here we can already see the first symptoms of a critical failure, in fact in January 2023 I wrote to Philips because I saw my package stuck in the warehouse for over 17 days; the answer was "we need his passport otherwise we can't deliver the package to her". Obviously I object and ask for a refund but they deny me, telling me that the purchase was made months before and officially 5 months had already passed, so I wasn't entitled to it. After various vicissitudes I receive the package and after unboxing I immediately notice that the video is deformed, so I inform support of the problem who tells me to update the software with what they would have published within the next few months. I update and nothing happens, it seems to be a manufacturing defect so Philips washes its hands of it. This product has many bugs and above all by not connecting to the internet you are forced to use other products (I use Firestick) which present some HDR reproduction problems which obviously, although it was sold as a feature of Screeneo U4, is obviously not supported. THIS SALE IS A SCAM!

Recently unboxed the U4 and have had a few issues. The main issue is a bulge at the top of the screen. Following through the forums have shown that there are multiple people with this issue. I am still waiting to hear back about a solution.

This product has only been released over kickstarter. Software support is non existant, and the projector is mediocre at best. image quality is mediocre, sound is okay, and the fan noise problems are after more than a year of promises still not fixed. Its a shame, a compagny like Philips collect litterly milions of euros/dollars, and ship crap to the consumers
