Hairclipper series 5000Washable hair clipper

I am very satisfied with my Philips Hairclipper; it performs excellently and is easy to use.

Although I have only had this clipper a short while, every use has been a positive experience. I regular use it to cut the hair of five family members. It cuts well, is easy to hold and operate, simple to clean and only produces a low hum. My last Philips clipper lasted over 10 years without any issues and were in a similar, relative price bracket back then so am hopeful that these will do the same. A great unit for a cordless clipper, in its price bracket, with combs that enable hair to be picked up a trimmed efficiently.

I have used the clippers twice now and I am very happy with them. My first experience was a steep learning however I am now quite confident and somewhat proficient. The comb attachments are easy to use and with the adjustment for hair length very simple. The cutter comb is safe and sharp. There is no pulling and as fast as I go they effortlessly cut the hair at a perfect even length.

The product does exactly what what I expected. It's like, runs well on a single charge, cuts hair quickly and easily without pain. It is quiet, my previous corded shaver was also very good, but also needed regular oiling. I never needed to change/replace the blades if I did this properly. Time will tell whether this shaver, with supposedly almost zero, (except for cleaning hair for maintenance) self-sharpening blades, without using oiling will last as long. After only one usage, at the moment it seems very good and of good quality.

Well designed, light weight, brilliant smooth cutters that provide an effortless trim... what more can you ask for! Easy to clean... just remove the cutter head and rinse, shake dry and leave to completely air dry, well that's what I prefer to do anyway.

I like the ease of fitting attachments and easy adjustment of cutting length

Easy to use, but I had to research what the length settings meant in the standard clipper sizes. Eventually found #2 is 6mm and #3 is 10mm. It would have been helpful to have this info included in instructions.

I have used the product a few times already. It is great and feels no different than the experience I get in a barber. I don't think I need to go to a barber anymore.

In need of a replacement hair clipper, tried a number of local electronic and hair product stores. By sheer luck the last store I intended to visit came across the Philips Hairclipper series 5. My mission was accomplished.
