PerfectCare Compact PlusSteam generator iron

My wife and I are delighted with our new Phillips PerfectCare iron. Let's be honest...she does 90% of the ironing but when I do (when the moon is blue) it's a dream. To have as much steam as you want on tap, the easy cradle for the iron plus the light weight makes ironing easier. Without questions we would recommend this iron.

This steam iron has a large water tank (plenty for the average ironing session) Responds quickly and addresses the thickest of fabrics - or multiple layers.

I had a Philips iron previously that lasted an unbelievable 15 years. It still worked, but the steam shot was giving up the ghost so I was in the market for a replacement. I didn't consider other brands because my last iron was such a workhorse. How many small appliances last that long these days? This product is next level. It cuts ironing time in half and makes garments look like new (cotton t shirts and knits lose that 'pilled' look on ironing and regain a nice even finish). I have lots of fiddly blouses with ruffles and smocking, the steam really comes in handy here, just hold the iron an inch above the fabric, give it a few shots, and rearrange the ruffles so they 'cool' in the right position. The unit is easy to store and not too bulky, and the tank is easily refilled under the tap. I'm one of those weird people who get a strange satisfaction from getting through a pile of ironing, and I find this product has me looking around the house when I'm done to find anything else that needs an iron! Slightly more expensive than a regular iron, but worth every cent. Thank you Philips, loyal customer here for life.

I have always used Philips Steam Generator irons but this one is much faster and lighter to hold, really pleased with it.

I should have gotten this earlier! It saves up so much time ironing my pile of clothes! For my previous iron, I would only be able to iron for 1-2 minutes before the iron went into “water boiling” mode and I had to wait. It was frustrating because the bulk of the time was spent waiting and waiting. But my new Philips iron is a total game changer! I no longer have to top up water and I simply have to wait for only 2 minutes at the beginning and the steam function will always be ready for me. Besides that, I do not need to adjust the temperature for different materials. How convenient! Best of all, no more manually pressing the decalc button continuously whole shaking my iron; this magic iron auto decalc at the push of a button and even comes with a convenient container to collect the dirty water. I’m in total awe of my new iron! Love it max!
