3000 seriesBlu-ray Disc/ DVD player

This is my first Blu-ray disc player and I am impressed! Bought for a very reasonable price from a high street retailer and rushed home to view my first BD disc. A little whir when first turned on but none of the hum or noise some reviewers of some BD players seem to experience. Maybe it was because the 3200 was linked to a Philips HD LCD TV but the picture was startling. Crisp images, excellent colour and delivering good sound as well. Money well spent.

this blue ray dos and takes every thing , love it best one yet, the only down side is that you have to keep the play button pressed down for a while for it to play and some times you let it go to soon.

The product is in tune with current trends and has features that are on par with the market. However there could be further refinements to ensure ease of use especially when it comes to Internet connectivity and the features not he remote.

A very good machine with really clear picture and very good sound easy navigation on the menu and good usb for photos

This player does a lot, including You-Tube streaming, but the player is slow to wake up when switched on, and the response to the remote is poor. I was especially disappointed by the sheer hard work involved in finding videos on You-Tube, and by the lag-time between pressing buttons on the remote and seeing something happen on screen. You-Tube searches without a QWERTY remote are frustrating. The Blu-Ray playback on my 720HD set is excellent, and the sound is wonderful. Since I still have more DVDs than Blu-Ray, the very high quality of the up-scaled image is very important to me. Some DVDs look so much better that I cannot fault it at all.

nice design, easy to use ,have a philips tv so goes well together

I was told that all Philips AV products are able to accept and play all movies in any format it comes, out of my dissapointment, not all movies formats are acceptable by this BluRay player. Some movies have audio signal but no video signal. I am refering to the .mkv format, some .mkv can't be read at all (I mean the video signal, as for the audio signal it seems accetable). Of course non mkv formats are not acceptable. The movie title will not be displayed at all when connecting via USB connection. Prior to this, I bought a Philips Home Theatre System, this system is able to accept all movies formats up to DVD format. Unfortunately it does not provides HD and USB connection. The response using remote control on the BluRay player seems a bit lacking, not responsive, at times needs several activation before responding.

Great picture when in full HD, enjoying watching videos from youtube and listening to music from the USB flash drive. Bad points are the remote control is not very responsive because if you don't point it directly at the dvd player it will not respond. The remote is also too small as its hard to makeout and operate some of the control buttons.

i found this Blu Ray player great for Blu Rays however when I used it for DVDs I found the sound was out of synch with the picture
