This machine is simple to use and does what it says on the tin. Superb picture quality on DVDs.

Good quality blue ray player at a great price. It small so tucks away nicely and gives a really good crisp picture. Overall we are very pleased with this item

great dvd will tyell all i know to get one its a must have

Excellent Blu Ray player. I haven't hooked up the internet to it...nor do I plan to. I just wanted a Blu Ray player. It delivers the goods!! No problems...I just hope Philips will keep me in the loop about any updates if needed.

First of all, read the manual. The disk tray opens and closes just fine if you hold the reomote button down for 4 seconds or longer. The modle I bought does not have the wi-fi or the usb port, but his was not an issue because I have a Roku box for the wifi. I bought this player so I could play Blue Ray discs. It does that great. Everyone complains that the player does not come with a HDMI cable. I haven't seen any brand that does unless it is one of the high priced ones. All in all a great product for the price.

I was in the market since my Samsung DVD player conked. I reviewed a few similar products in the market and either the price was too much or the product did not play all formats especially VCD/SVCD which is very important to me as I have a huge collection of the same. This Bluray player was an ideal choice and I am very happy with it.

I have used this with no problem good picture and controls work with my Samsung TV controls via any net. Only two issues There is no open button on the remote The eject button on the unit seems to take forever

I Was looking for a something to use instead of my PS3 in the living room for Blueray, Netfix and Downloaded movies. I read the review here and I had no problems with it at all. plugged in an Ethernet cable, Plugged into my tv and powered up and off I went. Blue Ray was clean and clear. Netflix on the first run was a little slow abut after I logged in I started fine. I rebooted to see if was still lagging and was a lot faster. I tried a movie I had on a usb stik and worked great. I then wanted to play something on my PS3 and it said unable to play format. It was an AVI file. So I decided to try it on the Philips 1080p DVD/Blu-ray Player. and worked flawlessly. Plays files My PS3 cant. I was impressed.
