With the tight work space in my office nook at home, I needed the capacity to work on a lot of material, while not cluttering the space with multiple monitors.The Philips Ultrawide 349X7 has been a real game changer for me. Not only in meeting the original need, but also in contributing to improving my productivity and ease of working.

Moving from a traditional 24" screen to a high end Philips wide screen monitor like this has made me so much more productive. At first, you're really not sure about the huge screen sitting in front of you. It seems too big. But that only lasts a couple of days. Once you start to have multiple windows open at the same time, you truly become a mega-tasker. Now I can be editing images, while checking my email, with a chat box open in the corner and still have space to be running Netflix in a window. Sad to say, but this monitor has actually made me a happier person!

AW3418DW was the first ultrawide monitor I wanted though I later eyed on LG monitors and bought LG 27UK600-W. I returned it to get LG 32UD99-W because 32UD99-W has a consistent color. During RMA waiting time, I found this amazing Philips ultra-wide monitor. If I remember correctly, I bought it within a few days and received it the day after. OSD comes with a lot of features. Orbiting pixels. Individual pixels are hard to see. Zero dead pixel and zero light bleed. FreeSync 100Hz. (Still waiting for a capable GPU) Built-in speakers sound surprisingly good. Enough USB ports for keyboard, mouse and two USB drives. NO redesign needed. I still am willing to pay more for an update version with more features. • 5K ultra-wide resolution 5120x2160. • HDR with 10-bit panel. • Super USB hub: two USB up-stream with one click switch. • 2 HDMI + 2 DisplayPort. • Better looking OSD. (Not necessary) • Slimmer bottom. (Not absolutely necessary)

The panel is next level. The high resolution, curve and 21:9 ratio is spot on. Its a brilliant display and awesome to work on. The perfect size too, big enough to replace my 2 x 24" with less head movement. The build in speakers are pretty good to. Unfortunately nothing around the panel is any good. The USB3 hub faces backwards so it absolutely worthless. It's an eyesore white, make it black, its unnecessarily bulky, the eyesore stand takes up almost twice the room it needs. It's sadly one of the ugliest screens I have ever seen. The great panel and build in speaker is really all this screen has going for it.

It's technically one of the top-notch 21:9 monitors available... but that TERRIBLE silver colored stand design, useless WHITE color and some blurring issues kills everything. That "tripod like" weird silver stand is the part that I hated most. It should be the simplest, not a shouting one because we are not 12 yrs old anymore... This is a high-end monitor, it should look high-end by it's simplicity while hiding the super-tech "under the skin" Have some blurring issues on the right & left side of the screen. Very noticeable when working on documents etc. White color is unbelievably absurd and the depth of monitor with stand (29cm) is too much... It occupies half of the desk :( And the pricing is way above the rivals :( PS: Philips Design Center needs to start on working "minimalism" immediately... They are definitely out of the track :(
