IPS displays use advanced technology that gives you extra-wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees, making it possible to view the display from almost any angle. Unlike standard TN panels, IPS displays give you remarkably crisp images with vivid colours, making them ideal not only for photos, movies and web browsing, but also for professional applications that demand colour accuracy and consistent brightness at all times.
These Philips screens deliver Crystalclear, Quad HD 2560x1440 pixel images. Utilising high-performance panels with a high-density pixel count, enabled by high-bandwidth sources, these new displays will make your images and graphics come alive. Whether you are a demanding professional requiring extremely detailed information for CAD-CAM solutions, use 3D graphics applications or are a financial wizard working on huge spreadsheets, Philips displays will give you Crystalclear images.
SmartContrast is a Philips technology that analyses the content you’re viewing, automatically adjusting colours and controlling backlight intensity to dynamically enhance contrast for the best digital images and videos, or when playing games where dark hues are shown. When Economy mode is selected, contrast is adjusted and backlighting fine-tuned for just-right display of everyday office applications and lower power consumption.

Once working it's a good monitor.
The C cable supplied did not work. Had to use my own HDMI cable. The monitor, once set up is good and picture quality is good, however, setting it up was problematic. The instructions would only show it Dutch, even though English was chosen. That single button the back does not work well and should be replaced by a better system as a first priority. And I don't dare turn it off as it wants to reset again when I switch it back on.
Pros
A good monitor once set up. Good price. Good picture.
Cons
You need to know a bit more than the average person to set this monitor up. That is the only reason I wouldn't recommend it to one of my friends. Most are not too computer equipment savvy.

MPRT adjusts brightness for blur reduction, so you can’t adjust brightness while MPRT is turned on. To reduce motion blur, the LED backlight will strobe in sync with the screen refresh, which may cause noticeable changes in brightness.
MPRT is a gaming-optimised mode. Turning on MPRT may cause noticeable screen flickering. It is recommended to turn it off when you are not using the gaming function.
