I have owned this monitor for over 6 months now and absolutely love it. The colour brightness & contrast is really nice and having multiple windows open is fantastic. You quickly get used to the large size and it makes it impossible to want to return to a smaller screen size. For gaming I also think it is fantastic. The input lag is very low and I do not perceive any at all using high quality racing rig equipment. I race various titles like Project Cars, Assetto Corsa and Race Room Race Experience and all of them are so immersive in 4K. You need a GPU with plenty of grunt for gaming at 3840x2160 but is well worth it.

After much deliberation i finally purchased this monitor, picked up the $100 cash back to boot. Perfect from the get go, exactly what i was looking for, great for gaming and terrific for the office. The screen size and image quality are truly awesome, love it!

Philips replaced the first one that was delivered because the top bezel was bent and there was a strip of light shining at the top of the screen. Anyway warranty was no problem, and this replacement is top quality. Still getting used to the sheer size but it's so good to able to fit four 1080p size screens on the one screen, and then have the gaming filling my field of view. There's a problem with the mouse cursor size in Windows 7, for some reason it is about 2-3 cm in full 4K res. Enabling mouse trails fixes it. It's a Windows issue but I haven't yet found a fix. Recommend this monitor? Sure, if you can use its screen size and detail, it's fantastic. It's not for everyone but I'm glad I bought it. By the way my NVidia GTX660 video card (which nowadays is mid range) comfortably drives this monitor at full-res.

Great monitor to really take advantage of 4K. Big size with excellent pixel density (without going beyond the point of reason). Any more pixels and you would need serious graphics horsepower to drive it. Contrast is fantastic, colours accurate, viewing angles reasonable with a technology (VA) appropriate for a screen this size. Plethora of connection options. The stand is fixed and non adjustable, the screen has a glossy finish but it is not a big deal. The only other feature a screen could have this size is the support of the freesync video standard for frame matching refresh rates. This is unrealistic in this price range and within the scope of professional displays. (Philips could charge 50% more for a screen with that feature.) Note: To run at 3840x2160 @ 60Hz as recommended requires a solid graphics card. Especially for gaming.

I am loving this. My eye site is going a little so I need a bigger screen. The quality is awesome. I love having 4k that I can actually see. I had a 30" 4k and the the text was to small. This solves the problem. I am using this with a new Mac Pro. 60hz through display port rocks. My only complaint is I wish it had more features to tweak the colors to make them more vibrant. A little limited but not bad. :)

I am loving this new monitor. Excellent for draughting and design work. Works great for online gaming as well.

I have always been a large resolution aficionado, you can never have enough pixels IMHO. I have read many reviews that complain the screen is too large - how ridiculous! If you read the manual, the OSD is a piece of cake. DP 1.2 gives 4k @ 60Hz, job done. I didn't think I would like the glossy screen, but you get used to it in about a day. I've bought 2 of these beauties; Philips must have a healthy order book, the 2nd took over 3 months to arrive. So what can you do? 12 pages of documentation at the same time, makes cross referencing a breeze. Spreadsheets of 150 rows by 366 columns is a nice to have. Pretty much an entire A0 sheet for diagramming, it is so productive to be able to see the whole picture in one take. Can't wait for 8k on 60" (146 dpi)

I wanted a large screen 4k display for a dedicated flightsim PC. Most "large" monitors seemed to max out at about 28 inches, so I had decided to buy a 40 inch 4k TV instead. And then I found this monitor via a review. Was always going to feel more comfortable with a PC Monitor than a TV, and have had good experiences with Philips products before so bought one. It is excellent. Got it running as a single screen, full 4k at 60hz via DisplayPort (after amending the DP level via the OSD setup menu) - motion is smooth (from NVIDIA GTX 980 TI) and image sharp and clear. Haven't played with all the picture-in-picture options and not likely to but they seem quite handy. Sharing this monitor between 2 PCs would make sense. Oh, and the sound quality from the built in speakers is good as well. Highly recommended. Makes my other systems feel very inadequate now. And if I get anything like the 20+ years I got from my large screen Philips CRT TV I will be a very happy bunny.

Lovely looking screen. This is perfect for the heavy PC user looking a lot of screen real estate. I move from a similarly sized TV as a screen to this and have been largely blown away. Gaming is a dream even if you can't use 4k. Just changing to 1440p or 1080p and the screen still looks great. If your PC isn't super powerful this screen should at the very least future proof you until your PC is. I mean even 1360 by 768 looked ok (go to a minimum of 1080 or 1440) though. The displayport cable was a good 2m long and fully supports 4k 60Hz (change to displayport 1.2 in the screen settings menu though). Don't cheap out and use a subpar cable though like I did, just use the good one Phillips provide in the box...
