Philips Australia update on repair and replacement program for certain CPAP, BiPAP and mechanical ventilator devices and Therapeutic Goods Administration Infringement Notices

Sydney, Australia – Philips Australia continues to work with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) about progress in the repair or replacement of certain CPAP, BiPAP and mechanical ventilator devices.

Philips Australia has established a process to enable patients, users, or caregivers with affected devices to look up the device serial number and register their devices. Registration is an important initial step that patients need to complete to participate in the repair and replacement program. Philips Australia encourages patients to visit the website to register their devices: www.philips.com/SRC-update.

Philips Australia is treating the repair and replacement program for patients, consumers, and healthcare providers in Australia with the highest level of seriousness and aims to address affected devices within the scope of this correction. We are absolutely committed to supporting the community of patients who rely on our sleep and respiratory care products for their health and quality of life, and the physicians and customers who are dedicated to meeting patient needs.

Philips Australia acknowledges the 10 Infringement Notices of AUD 13,320 each, issued by the TGA. Philips will work cooperatively with the TGA to resolve the issue.

Philips Australia will provide further updates on the repair and replacement plan as appropriate.
