As a Platinum Sponsor of Sleep Down Under 2025, Philips is proud to lead the discussion on how digital innovation is transforming sleep care. Central to this commitment is the symposium “The Digital Evolution of Sleep Medicine: AI, Telemonitoring, and Patient Outcomes”, where two internationally recognized experts will share insights on integrating technology into clinical practice.

Dr. Teofilo Lee-Chiong, Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health and Chief Medical Liaison at Philips, will open the session by examining the disruptive role of artificial intelligence in sleep medicine. Drawing on decades of research, he will highlight how AI can help overcome diagnostic complexity and systemic inefficiencies while addressing equity and trust in digital care. Dr. Adam Benjafield, a veteran researcher with more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, will present new evidence on the role of telemonitoring and digital engagement in improving adherence and outcomes for obstructive sleep apnoea. His work demonstrates how remote monitoring, personalised feedback, and patient–clinician connectivity can be embedded into multidisciplinary pathways.

Together, the symposium will highlight how Philips and clinical leaders are delivering on the promise of digital innovation within sleep health, empowering physicians to provide better care for more people.
