Three in four Australian healthcare leaders say operational silos hinder their ability to utilise data compared to 51% globally, while 19% experience difficulties in obtaining data.

But improving transparency and data security, as well as success stories from other hospitals are critical to building trust in predictive analytics. All three of these factors are significantly higher than the global average, which reflects heightened concerns around issues of transparency and data security.

The Future Health Index 2022 report examines the experiences of almost 3,000 leaders and their expectations for the future. The research for the Future Health Index 2022 report was conducted in 15 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa and the United States.) The study combines a quantitative survey and qualitative interviews conducted from December 2021 – March 2022.
