Philips Wins Frost & Sullivan Award for AI-Enabled CT 3500 Imaging Solution

Philips has been honored with the 2024 Asia-Pacific New Product Innovation Award by Frost & Sullivan for its groundbreaking CT 3500 imaging solution. Recognized for its efficiency, advanced AI capabilities, and patient-centric design, the CT 3500 is set to transform diagnostic imaging, particularly in regions with growing patient demand.

The Philips CT 3500 is designed to improve workflow efficiency and deliver high-quality imaging while optimizing patient care. Its AI-assisted features, such as Precise Position, Precise Planning, and Precise Intervention, enhance scan accuracy, reduce manual effort, and streamline procedures like biopsies and tissue-based interventions.

According to Ojaswi Rana, Best Practices Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, Philips continues to showcase its leadership in healthcare technology by addressing global challenges through innovation and sustainable solutions.

Unlike traditional entry-level scanners, the CT 3500 integrates technology from Philips’ premium models, ensuring high-resolution imaging with AI-based Precise Image reconstruction. This results in up to 60% improved low-contrast detectability, an 85% reduction in noise, and an 80% decrease in radiation dose, making it a safer and more efficient solution for healthcare providers.

Ari Wood, Head of CT for Growth Region, notes, “This recognition by Frost and Sullivan continues to demonstrate Philips' commitment to customer-focused design, long-term sustainability, and enhanced clinical outcomes further cements our reputation as a leader in value-based healthcare innovation and strengthens the Philips mission to provide better care for more people.”
