This product in my instance is fairThe shaver was smooth and did not leave a rash on my skin but i found it had troubles in removing my facial hair and it took a considerable amount of time to have a shave, considering my old philips electric shaver removed the hair in minimal time.

did not perform as expectedAfter using Philips shavers for more than 40 years I purchased a new
shaver only to find it would not give a close shave on complaint I was sent a new power unit which was of course not a solution. I then took my problem to a shaver specialist and was told that the shaver head on that model was not suitable for strong stubble.I then had to purchase a new model series 9000 at considerable expense I am happy with this model but I am left with 1 useless shaver and 1 power unit .

Very surprised at how smooth it was to use. After many years of shaving and being converted to electric razors, I had been using other brands before the Philips Aqua Touch wet and dry I have now. I was surprised at the results it was quicker and not as harsh on the skin, very happy to recommend. I also like that you can purchase add on tools and extra blades if needed. I cant say what it is like to use wet as I have not tried this yet

Excellent New ProductMy previous PHILIPS Wet + Dry Shaver performed very well, unfortunately the rechargeable battery went flat after 3 years of service, so I had to replace it.
However the replacement Philips AquaTouch Wet and dry electric shaver S5420/06 MultiPrecision Blade System is an excellent replacement. It takes a few days to get used to it, but then I started loving it.

Very Happy With The ShaverThis product works very well. It shaves very smoothly and efficiently. It also charges quickly and holds its charge over many shaves, much more so than a competitor's product that I was very unhappy with. The only thing I would improve would be to incorporate the trimmer into the unit itself as a pop-up. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

very good features, especially using itmany years ago i had an electric razor,
it was no where near as good as this one,
this is so easy to use, as long as you are aware it takes about month for your skin to adapt to it.
the ability to use it in the shower and with soap applied make all the
difference to its efficiency.
thank you Phillips.

Twin blades lift then cut - great to cleanChoosing shaver really complicated as it is really hard to know the difference between models and brands. Often no apparent difference except for something not obvious like battery type. I was looking at other brands because a well known shaving shop was flogging those (various models with various features but typically for wet use, 3 blades, quick recharge). Was thinking foil as heard less irritation and i got lots of irriation from my old philoshave (20yr old). BUT most models I looked at seemed hard to clean - supposed to use bath thing, Cheaper ones easy to clean but less features.
Had a great rep in HNorman who sold me on Philips as she told me that all Phillips rotary shavers had twin blades and showed me one (you can see 2 blades on top of each other). She also showed me the different type of covers (ones with holes and slots like this model that I bought vs just slots) and showed me the different models had different batteries (with no consistency between battery efficiency and price and age of model?? - should be NiCad<NiMH < Li-ion as lithion charge quickly (like this model) and is newer technology but some of the other even newer and more expensive models had NiMH! Only really cheap models or really old models have NiCad (like my old philoshaver).
Note - not all Philips shavers actually have twin blades (the star wars ones that were more expensive when I was looking all had single blades despite being in the 5000 series).
Regarding this shaver - it is not as close as a blade but I don't get cut everytime like a blade either so happy to use it daily. It does not give rashes when i use it but cuts quicker and lower when used with thin lather layer or lubricant of some sort (sometimes I used conditioner as I have that with me in shower). Remarkable how you can use these in wet conditions!! It can still cut you if you are not careful. I got nicks on lips because I thought it would not cut!
Cleaning is a breeze - pop lid open under shower whilst running. Close again run a few seconds whilst shaking and no water to get water off blades so dont rust. finish. Have only recharged 2 times so far (had for about 1 month, using dailly).
So far very happy with it. Also like the 3 year warranty (1 year extra for sending receipt in).
Ps - really hard to get review accepted as this site has rejected it already 2x it due to me mentioning other brands and broad price ranges when making comparisons- so if not so informative now it is because of the censors.
