Good Good and not so Good........Its been about 7 years since I used an electric razor... that one was a Philips too. So I finally decided to go get another new one. This one was the lowest priced one not made in China (Netherlands) and looked the part so I bought it from the Shaver Shop. When I got home I put it on charge and read the instructions. Then waited a few hours later for the 3 little lights the instructions told me would light up in succession to tell me it was fully powered up. No three little lights? Put it back on charge.... waited till the next morning... no three little lights then either. I tried the shaver (after unplugging it) and loved the feel on my face.... it wasn't the closest shave that a safety razor does, but I remember somewhere I had read that it takes a number of shaves with an electric shaver to 'condition' the beard for an electrical assault.... fine.... and now after a few weeks (not shaving everyday) it does a good enough job. BUT... there is a design problem the user has to get used to.... when you're holding the razor shaving your face your thumb tends to press down on the OFF switch and the shaver stops. I believe it could have been designed differently,, however, all in all, the electric razor was worth the money and I'll grow more fond of it in the coming weeks.
By the way.... I rang the Shaver Shop and asked about the three lights that were mentioned in the Operating Manuel and was told there really was ONE light. I guess Philips was trying to trick me, huh?

Very Good ShaverI previously have used since late 90's Braun twin foil, Phillips Cool Skin wet/dry, Phillips Arcitec dry. After a lot of research looking at foil shavers from competitors I decided to buy another rotary because it's what I know and it is quiet.
It is the first time I have wet shaved with gel in a long time and have been very happy with how close and smooth a shave I get.
If I was to dry shave only I would probably go for a high end foil shaver, but for now this shaver is very good value, great battery & very quiet.

4th Philips ShaverThis is the 4th Philips shaver I've had in 3 years, an upgrade, under warranty for the other 3 replacements that failed! So far it's a great product and gives a good shave wet or dry. Some of the features are a little silly, for example the flashing icon that displays after each use to remind you to clean it. Perhaps they should add an icon that flashes once you've turned it on to remind you to shave with it!!!

DissapointedI have been using Philips electric razors for the coast 40 years and had many over this period.
This us the first time I have not liked the product.
Had for about 9 months now and does not give a close shave. I am going back to my previous razor of 5 years and get a better shave. Looking to replace but maybe after 40 years try another brand
