How to setup your Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart

 

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart connects to the Philips Sonicare app for a guided brushing experience. Follow these steps to setup your Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart to the Philips Sonicare app.

 

  1. Download the latest version of the Philips Sonicare app from the Apple app store or Google Play store
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone
  3. Open the Philips Sonicare app
  4. Follow the steps in the app to setup your Sonicare account and connect your toothbrush

Was the Bluetooth connection successful?

Yes. I can connect

No. The Philips Sonicare app cannot connect to or detect my Philips Sonicare toothbrush

Step 2:
Do you have a DiamondClean Smart or FlexCare Platinum Connected?

 

Only the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart is able to connect to the Philips Sonicare app. You can identify your connected Philips Sonicare toothbrush by the icons on the handle.

Yes. I have a connected Philips Sonicare toothbrush

No. I do not have a connected toothbrush

I need help connecting my Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean Smart toothbrush to the Sonicare app

Step 3:
I have a connected Philips Sonicare toothbrush and I cannot connect to the Philips Sonicare app

 

Turn on your toothbrush by pressing the on-button or mode-button. Lights will now illuminate from your toothbrush handle. If this is not the case, charge your toothbrush for at least 24 hours and try again.

 

Keep your Philips Sonicare toothbrush away from other Bluetooth devices as this may interfere with the Bluetooth connection between your Philips Sonicare toothbrush and the Philips Sonicare app.

Try connecting your toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare app again. Does it work?

Yes. I can connect

No. I cannot connect my Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart to the Philips Sonicare app

Step 4:
My Philips Sonicare connected toothbrush works well but, I cannot connect my toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare app

 

Test the Bluetooth connection of your smartphone. Turn Bluetooth off and back on or try to connect to another Bluetooth device. If this works, open de Philips Sonicare app and try to connect to your Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart again.

No. I cannot connect my Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart to the Philips Sonicare app

Step 5:
My Philips Sonicare connected toothbrush and Bluetooth on my smartphone work well but, I cannot connect my toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare app

 

The Philips Sonicare app is optimized for Android 4.4.2 and greater, and iOS 9.1 or later. Be sure your operating system meets these standards and your smartphone software is up-to-date. If you are still having connectivity issues, please contact Philips Customer Care.
