I cannot pause my Philips Airfryer XXL Premium when cooking with a Smart Chef programme

It is not possible to pause the Smart Chef programme of your Philips Airfryer XXL Premium, otherwise the calculation of the cooking temperature and time would not work. 

If you need to open the appliance during cooking to check on the food or for shaking or turning, the cooking time will be adjusted accordingly.
