    Cannot play and record simultaneously on my Philips DVDR

    Because of system limitations, the recorder can not perform two complex tasks at the same time, such as the playback of a DivX movie whilst making a recording. This includes playing back DivX movies during timer recordings or when using the Time Shift Buffer.
