It is a designed mechanism of this Philips Hi-Fi system to switch to Standby mode automatically to prevent over-heating and possible damages due to the over-heating.

General ventilation advice
If the device switches to Standby mode automatically, please allow your device to cool down for around 15 minutes before switching it on again. Make sure there is good ventilation for your device: * Avoid placing your device just next to a wall. Keep your device at around one-footstep-distance from the wall. * Avoid placing your device next to another electronic device. The electronic device may generate heat during operation, affecting ventilation of your device. If you are still facing the issue, please contact our Consumer support in order to provide a solution.
