My Philips Air Humidifier stopped working

    Published on 12 January 2023
If your Philips Air Humidifier stopped working, read our article for possible causes and solutions. Please note that the information below is for our domestic humidifiers only.
When the water tank is empty, your humidifier does not receive water and cannot function. To prevent this, make sure that there is water in the water tank.

Note: The lower the level of humidity in the room, the faster the water tank will become empty.

When the top part of your Philips Humidifier (the upper unit) is not placed correctly over the water tank, these two pieces will not be fully connected, and your purifier will not work.

Please, double-check that the top of your humidifier is placed correctly.

Make sure the socket where your humidifier is plugged in functions correctly (try plugging a different appliance into that socket to check if it works).

The larger side of the wick support should be in the bottom of your Philips Humidifier as shown in the image below.

If the wick support is wrongly assembled, the float will not work and the humidity sensor will indicate a lack of water. Please ensure that the wick and the wick support are placed correctly.
