Good bottle, cool shape, safe, but causes dribble mouth. This free sample was one that I was very excited to receive. There`s a sense of nostalgia with a glass bottle but more important there are no BPAs to worry about and glass offers the sanitation that every mom (and dad) is looking for.
When I received the bottle I was intrigued by it`s shape and the shape and size of the nipple. The bottle is tall yet wider than average and the rim of the nipple is wider than the bottle. I like the wide nipple because it`s good for nursing babies who receive the bottle intermittently and/or for babies who are transitioning to being solely bottle fed. The bottle was easy to assemble and clean.
I will say that when my daughter first started using it the flow, even though it`s the first nipple level, was too strong for her. It choked her up a bit and milk would drop everywhere. I went to the store to confirm that there wasn`t another step down. Eventually that became less of a problem but it`s still a bit messy.
After using the bottle for the first time the tight seal that I initially celebrated (for it`s potential of keeping bacteria out) quickly became a big headache because I couldn`t get the bottle open. The next time I used it I didn`t screw it as tight but when I went to shake it milk spilled out all over the place. I`m not sure that I have found a middle ground yet and it`s been four to five weeks.
The bottle isn`t as easy to clean as I anticipated but I think if I get a more bristle like and less sponge like bottle brush then I can fix that issue. I didn`t worry about putting it in the dishwasher or microwave for a steam cleaning since it`s glass and can handle the head. Another critique that I have is that the painted measurements could be a bit more tough, they`re rubbing off a little due to regular use and cleaning.
As far as travel goes, I like that the glass holds heat and transfers heat well. I'm not happy with the lid because it isn't spill proof.
Lastly, how does baby like it? She feeds well from this bottle with the exception of having a milk beard when she`s done and it`s a little to heavy for her to hold right now, but she`s trying and I don`t think it will be too long before she`s able to do so (hopefully!).

Glass bottleI received the Philips Avent glass bottle to review and hadn't used a glass bottle before. I like that it can be washed in the dishwasher and feels more clean. It's a bit too heavy for baby to hold alone.

Slowed feeding, but leakedI received this product free to provide a review. As a breastfeeding mother, bottle choice is very important to me. I was excited to use this product hoping it would help my son to eat slower when using a bottle. He did eat slower, not much but anything is an improvement. I experienced leaking from this bottle; I re-read the directions, checked, and re-assembled the collar/nipple portion many times but nothing helped with the leaking. Maybe I just got a defective part, maybe it still wasn't put together correctly, or maybe it is supposed to leak.

Easy to use and cleanI love the glass bottle versus the plastic bottle. It is so much healthier for baby and is quicker to warm up milk. The Avent glass bottle is wider than most making it easier to pour milk into and clean. I also like that there are not many parts to this bottle which makes cleaning that much easier. However, my daughter just didn't take to this bottle like I hoped she would. I should mention that I received a free sample of this bottle to review, but would still recommend it to other moms to try. Not every child likes every bottle, so although mine didn't care for this one I think many children would like it, as would moms!

Nice bottleSo I received a free sample from avent I was lucky to receive the natural 8oz glass bottle.
My daughter took to the bottle quickly the flow of the nipple seemed kind of fast however.
I have never used a glass bottle before and as its a nice option I would never pick to use glass over plastic for a bottle.
Overall a nice product but not for me.

Couldn't get it to stop leakingI received a free sample of the 8 oz. glass baby bottle to try. The first thing I noticed about this bottle was the weigh of the bottle. Since it is glass compared to the common plastic it is heavier. I was worried that would be a problem when feeding my son, but it wasn't. The bottle was comfortable to hold. I had never tried a glass bottle before, so I was excited to see if it would be better than plastic bottles. I was extremely disappointed though. I have used Avent bottles before and never had a problem. This bottle leaked from the collar. The first time I tried it I assumed it was user error. So I switched to my regular bottle for that feeding. I tried the bottle again with just water to see where I went wrong. It didn't leak so I decided to try it again. At the next feeding I noticed it was leaking a bit from the collar again. I unscrewed the collar and examined it. The nipple looked like it was in properly so I tried again. It dripped the whole time. I really think it was user error but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I love Philips Avent products but it shouldn't be that hard to use a bottle. I'm not going to use it again.

This product is easily cleanedI received a free sample of the Philips Avent Natural glass bottle and have been using it for two weeks with my new born. I enjoy the bottle being glass because i know for sure it is bpa free and easily cleaned. I can easily see the milk being drained from the bottle all the way down to the nipple and the shape of the bottle is ergonomic for handling.

First time using glass!I received a free sample of this Natural Glass bottle to review. I am a mother of two, and have used Avent bottles before, I have never used a glass bottle though. Glass always seems to be easier to keep clean and feel like you are not leaving anything behind on the bottle when done cleaning it. It also takes the same top and nipple as the plastic bottles, so you are able to switch them out if necessary. The glass bottle is heavier than the plastic. I would not recommend using a glass bottle when the child is old enough to hold the bottle on its own, as it could be a little heavy. My son is 4 months and just starting to hold bottles on his own, so I will be making sure to only give him the lighter of the two choices. I would not purchase the glass bottle if it is more expensive. I am not sure I saw that much of a difference from the plastic to justify spending more money on them. Additionally, I did not like the idea of if it was to drop on the floor, more than likely it would shatter. This would not be good if you have a crawler in your house. (I did not break mine, but one would assume with glass it is an option.)
The natural nipple was also given with this bottle. I did not see any difference with it verses the regular nipples. Honestly, looking at the natural nipple and the regular nipples I cannot tell them apart.
Overall, I will certainly use this glass bottle when I do not expect my baby to hold it on his own. I will also use it while I am at my house. I do not think I will use it outside of the house in fear I may drop it and break it. Also, I would not spend extra money on the natural nipple as I could not tell the difference between it and the regular one.
