Great speaker & easy to use....but
I love the ease of setup, sound & quality of this speaker...all great.
My only gripe is you need to break the Bluetooth connection for the speaker to auto turn-off after a few minutes. For example if you play music through a phone, tablet (whatever) and use a hibernate function to put your device to sleep after a certain time period this doesn't stop, in the background, the Bluetooth connection (it stays active); so the speaker will remain ON.
This leaves the options of physically turning the speaker off or disconnecting the pairing in Bluetooth from your device; through various means e.g. turning your device completely off, turning off Bluetooth or stopping the pairing.
Ideally the speaker would have the smarts to detect there's no music being played, no data streaming to it & auto shut-off.
You maybe asking when such a scenario arises...I like to stream music to the speaker, put my tablet on a hibernate timer and goto sleep. The tablet hibernates but I awake to a speaker that's, hours later, still on. This fruit based tablet ;) in use BTW can't be timed to completely shut down and I'm confident many similar devices, regardless of O/S would behave in the same manner.
