Rated 1 out of 5 by DavidJH Blades dull very quickly
This is a great design razer and easy to use, but is let down by the blades that quickly go dull. I only have a light beard and shave daily but after 3 months the blades are very dull. I have to shave for a long time continually going over the same areas to get only an average shave. Blades are too expensive to replace every 3 months. Would love to stay with Philips but due to cost of replacement blades will have to look at other options I am afraid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chocks Bad design! Shaver head cleaning is FAR too difficult. Trimmer is NOT built into the shaver. Does NOT come with a stand.
I was disappointed with this shaver the first time I used it.
The trimmer is NOT built into the shaver. You have to first REMOVE the shaver head and then fit on a SEPERATE trimmer unit....then RE-FIT the shaver head back onto the shaver??? Being VERY inconvenient given the time pressure of morning shaves before leaving for work!!!!
In ADDITION there is the added DESIGN FAULT that to my dismay I discovered a few days after using this new model.
To clean the shaver heads properly you have to use a fragile plastic tool to remove the head blades. This delicate tool has microscopic little "lifters" that are FAR too fiddly to operate!
Then after cleaning the heads and blades you have to STRUGGLE to use the fragile plastic tool to try to re-fit the components back into the microscopic head rim grooves, AGAIN FAR TOO fiddly...while at the same time trying NOT to break the REDICULOUS little fragile plastic tool and/or the REDICULOUR microscopic fragile plastic head spacer components!!!!!
Previously I had your Sensor Touch 3D #1260X/40 shaver that was MUCH BETTER in its functionality and practical design.
The shaver came with a shaver stand, being VERY useful for placing the shaver on the bathroom bench top!
(I ONLY bought your latest shaver because I had trouble getting new shaver heads for my previous Sensor Touch 3D shaver. So I wanted your latest shaver model with a stand like my EXCELLENT Sensor Touch 3D model. Your retailer told me the only current new model that comes with a stand is the shaver with your automatic cleaning unit which is what I did NOT need or want)
Also with my previous Sensor Touch 3D shaver I could EASILY remove and re-fit the shaver heads (without any fragile plastic tools) for regular shaver head cleaning.
I remain VERY DISAPPOINTED in your latest model.
I cannot understand why your designers would come up with a new shaver with such transparently obvious design faults ???!!!
With so many years of production experience, Phillips should be capable to bring a FAR BETTER thought out shaver onto the competitive market.
I have already told a close friend NOT to purchase this model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by David Will not start
I excitedly opened my new shaver on Tuesday night. After charging and everything appearing normal I attempted to start the shaver, nothing happened. I returned it to the shaver shop today and they kindly provided me with a new shaver. Great service and for that I thank the shaver shop staff. I opened the shaver, charged it and hit the on button. Again nothing. Looks like I'm back to the shaver shop tomorrow. If be greatful if this problem could be explained. David.
