Rated 1 out of 5 by Heston Inferior replacement part for RQ1260
My 4 years old original shaving head shaves better than this brand new replacement head. As the original style head is no longer available, this new head makes the Sensotouch 3D / 9000 series a very poor performing shaver all round. I am persisting with the old head 4 years on, and will likely switch brands all together when it dies.

Rated 2 out of 5 by John150 Not happy with replacement heads for RQ1260.
Like others who have written reviews recently I am most unhappy with the new version of the replacement heads for my shaver - a SensoTouch 3D - Model RQ1260. The original - RQ10+ - heads supplied we fine but the replacement which I started to use just on twelve months ago is a users nightmare! I find the unit 1. Difficult to clean 2. Cumbersome to reassemble 3. Poorly designed 4.Blunt after 9-12 months use. This is most disappointing as I have been a regular user of Philips products for over 50 years. The most disappointing above is item 4 - you recommend that the Series 9000 heads be replaced after two years - now after nine month use the blades are blunt. Previously it was well over twelve months. I'm sorry, I couldn't recommend this product in its present state.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MrM55 Replacement shaver head lasted 3 months
As with other reviewers I am very disappointed with the quality of the replacement shaver head. The original shaver head lasted for well over 2 years with the replacement lasting for only 3 months. Unfortunately I purchased this from an online retailer and no longer have the receipt so have no recourse. Clearly there is an issue with the new shaver head design. Please address this or I will no longer purchase your products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Larry61 Worked well to start with.after 2 months will not give a close shave. This is my second replacement as the first one also failed.
Went to shaver shop to tell them about the heads not doing their job. They gave me a replacement but it does not work either. They were not too happy about giving me a new one then so I don't think they will do it again. Was happy with the razor until the replacement s failed

The RQ12+ is a huge disappointment. I have used my Philips SensoTouch3D (RQ1285) with the original 'flower petal' style shaving head for over 2 years and loved it. When the machine told me to replace the head I did so with the new RQ12+ with immediate regret. It pulls hairs so badly that it is painful to shave and the closeness of the shave is disgraceful; no-where near what my supposedly blunt head was providing. I took the head back hoping I had just got a bad unit but the replacement was exactly the same. I wrote to customer service and they said my experience was very unusual; but by the look of other reviews my experience does not appear unusual at all. Philips please just do the right thing and bring back the old model. Otherwise I will be moving to a competitor.

Two years ago I bought an amazingly good Sensotouch 3D shaver.
Four months ago I purchased RQ12+ heads for my Sensotouch 3D. The original replacement was already unavailable. Now my great shaver is seriously downgraded.
The first head fell apart within days, the second now has the same problem. The orange plastic lock rings have tiny tabs quite inadequate for holding them in place for long. I have been very careful in refitting them with the special tool, but the very act of shaving puts them under light pressure. The tiny tabs quickly wear, bend or break, making the expensive heads useless well before they are worn.
I do not have heavy whiskers and take great care of my shaver. I have given it a fair trial. If Philips cannot do better than this, I will never purchase another Philips shaver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Philipised Used the RQ12+ for 5 months, shave worse than 2 year old previous model
Has been nothing but trouble. One orange holder still falls out despite replacing by Shaver Shop; presumably the metal part is slightly out of line. But worse the shave after 5 months is now so poor I've reverted to my old head that was over 2 years old when replaced. It seems these issues fall on deaf ears at Philips

When I bought my sensotouch it was the best shaver I have ever had.UNTIL. I had to replace the head.It is now the worst shaver I have ever had.
I have tried all your recommendations on this site to no avail.
PLEASE PLEASE bring back the old head.
If my present old head dies I will not purchase Phillips again.
