I bought this expensive "gagdget" because I am on chemo and not allowed to floss my teeth. This "thing" worked approximately 4 times and it stopped working. I just purchased it 31/12/16.
I will be returning it to Harvey Norman ASAP!

I concur with others. This device is simply unreliable and not fit for general use. Clearly, there is an inherent issue with the Airfloss which needs to be addressed given the asking price point of these units.
I have better things to do with my time than keep heading back to the place of purchase raising the same issues. Was considering purchasing the new model, however, it appears very little has been done to resolve current reliability concerns.

I have been using Phillips Sonic Care Flossers for the past 3 years and have gone through at least 6.
They seem to quit working either from 1 month to 6months.
I buy them from Myers and they are very good about returns. First thing I do is usually save my receipt and box to assist with return as I know that they will usually stop working.
The product is great, I floss normally and I love to have clean teeth and this keeps teeth clean (when it is working) I like product so much I am thinking of buying 2 next time so I have a back up when the other one stops working:)

My dentist recommended Philips airflosser to clean my new veneers-so much easier to use than floss!

Look, I love the idea of this product, and my dentist recommended it to me. However, like another reviewer the Airfloss Ultra lasted just three weeks - I took it back, was offered a replacement, which also lasted just three weeks. You could hear the "motor" trying to run, but nothing happened.
I'd love to have one that worked on an on-going basis.

What a good idea and I am sure this is excellent for assisting to prevent tooth decay.
I wish the unit had a dedicated on/off button/switch as there is currently no way of turning it off. This makes it difficult to clean after use as it is 'live' and sometimes unintentionally works squiring water all over the place.
Also, the water/mouthwash tank is too small.

bought this airflows ultra mid february 2016, was perfect but suddenly stopped working(no burst despite pressing on the button, fully charged), took back to the shavers shop who put it on charger for 2 minutes and magically worked again,told me to take home and shouldn't have problem again(unit was fully charged when that happened to me but shop staff didn't believe me). worked fine again for another week then suddenly same problem again-stopped out of sudden in my mouth. charged it fully and not working still(battery light always green-definitely nothing to do with battery). now no stock at shavers, i have to wait for it to come in-should i wait or get a refund? will this happen again? i also don't like taking to the shop again and again for the same problem

The product has been designed as new , however the liquid reservoir capacity could have been a little bit more.
The sound of the burst could have been dampened with suitable shock absorbers /pads
The pressure has not been increased from the previous models - Which I believe is the most important factor.
The three bursts could have been replaced with Single burst but at three different pressure levels to make it moe efficient.
The manual needs to be used by person unknown to the product and reviewed.
Battery charging section - 3 green full charge but failed to state that after a while there will be no light?
The price is Too much for the Australian consumers in comparison to the USA Consumers?
The price needs to come down or atleas Phillips could have provided 2 extra nozzles within the price.
