Rated 3 out of 5 by Lisa Issues with freezing
A very sleek looking and easy to use device however having continued problems with freezing. The unit freezes after pausing or being momentarily inactive with the remote when searching for a file. Often this means starting back at the main menu again which is frustrating or even more frustrating is when unit fully freezes and have to pull the power cord out from the back on the unit to reset it. If it didn't freeze it would be an awesome device as plays any file formats we have tried and is user friendly. Freezing is a massive issue for us though and seems a few reviews on the previous model refer to same issue.

I love my media play because I can set up network on it and watch stuff from my PC, plus all the other options of connections. Great device would recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Disappointed that this product has limited "smart" features
Disappointed as this has very limited functions apart from streaming media from my iMac. The only "Smart Box" Apps are Facebook, YouTube and Flickr. No options to download other smart Apps. I was very disappointed that a great company such as Phillips released such a product of very limited purpose. Going to get rid of it (I know, a waste of money, but my entertainment needs are important as I am disabled and confined to home. There was another similar product which was cheaper but I opted for this product due to the Phillips Name .....

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dave101 Falling behind the expectation of "Smart"
My biggest issue is the lack of ExFAT compatibility. With so many users using MAC, Android & Windows these days it needs to be on the top of the features list. Not explicit on the packaging.
Some similar units can be interfaced with wireless keyboards.
My HDD doesn't address the folders in alphabetical order.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris31 Good product. Has a few small flaws but they would not stop me recommending it
I have found it very easy to use, I am yet to find a file it couldn't play. I have tested it only briefly with a high definition movie over the network which played well except for a few brief glitches at the very beginning.
It has crashed on me about twice for reasons I am unsure of but returned to work after powering it off and back on, and then hasn't repeated the issues.
It will not read EXFat hard drive format. I was unable to format my drive in FAT16 or FAT32 and a friends Mac will only read FAT not NTFS formatted disks which is a little annoying, hopefully they will add support for this in the next software update. (It reads FAT16, FAT32, NTFS)
All up it is nice and small and looks ok, works well and is easy to use. I would recommend it to a friend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dorathy slim easy to use
I have just purchased this product and have found it easy to use remote is simple small and easy to navigate and having westlink on my tv makes it the more easier that you don't have to use source on remote. I'll comment later on the WiFi part of it as l have not tried it. Picture quality is very clear too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mick1 this product is unreliable
this product worked for a short time (about 6weeks or there abouts)
and the stopped;who knows why?
when it did work it was ok, easy to use although it was difficult to get the remote to operate the unit.
All in all it has been a waste of money, garbage.
