Have had several Philips Irons for years now and up until now been very happy
This Philips Azur was highly rated by Choice and was a great iron to use while it worked.
However it will no longer warm up - and the Auto off light flashes once or twice when turned on ... but thats all.
From a few posts this seems to be an repeating issue with this model
I will give you a call to see what can be done
I am hunting for the receipt - purchased at David Jones - will have it filed away.
The 100 day warranty does not seem aligned to the expected useful life of an iron ??
I would expect a quality iron to last 5 plus years at a minimum

I bought this iron January 2014 (so 6 months out of warrantee!) and it had been fantastic until the auto off is stuck and now the iron no longer heats or works. Very, very disappointed and certainly would not recommend an iron which stops working altogether after 2.5 years! Based on the previous review I am not the only person experiencing this problem, so maybe there is a fault with the auto off switch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Danielle Great iron, but stopped working
I loved this iron...it is easy to use, great heat and steam...but then the auto off got stuck on and it doesn't heat at all anymore. Very disappointed as it is less than two years old.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Grandma8 I love my new iron
I didn't realise how terrible my old iron was until I got this new one. I have found it easy to use and quite light to handle. The clothes are looking wonderful

Works well and no issues at all. This is the second Philips iron we own and its always served us well The only draw back I found was that the indicator on the dial is the same color as the dial and so one would struggle adjusting the settings.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Olia steam boost
The steam boost function is working only from the steam tip, which makes ironing harder, especially shirts, where the excellent result is expected. No way to steam anything vertically, the steam goes literally from 3 holes on the tip only. By the way, the picture on the pack shows vertical steam boost from whole sole plate. Unfair marketing... Being a loyal customer of Philips for many years, I am very disappointed because I used to think that Philips is the best brand of home appliances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hugh41 Really good ironing performance with a couple of design flaws
Great iron, lots of steam, easy glide sole plate. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the light to let you know it's heating up goes out when it reaches operating temperature so there's no way visually to check you've switched it off on your way out the door without feeling it. Secondly, as already mentioned by another reviewer, the pointer on the temperature dial is the same colour as the background so it's impossible to see (it's just a raised bump) so I've had to add liquid paper to make it visible. Otherwise it's a pleasure to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by IroningQueen1 Good while it lasted
Purchased this iron 16 months ago and it has been really good up until now. Steam is great and sole plate made ironing easy - no problem with shot of steam or extra steam button or speed of heating. I got used to the extra weight within a week. However I found the plastic cover for the water tank extremely fiddly to close properly and it become frustrating as it popped open several times during hour long ironing sessions resulting in splashes of water on my clothes. Today it has an electrical problem that prevents it from heating up beyond lukewarm so am very dissappointed - I've never paid this much for an iron and to have it ready for the bin in 16 months compared to 5 to 7 years with other irons is just a waste of money. Has anyone else had a similar problem.
