I unpacked the iron but couldn't use it because once plugged in I couldn't move the iron to press my clothes as the cord is too short. My power points are all at the bottom of my walls. I shall be taking this back to point of sale for a refund. There is no information on the product packaging or the website stating the length of the power cord.

Iron works ok, but the cord is stupidly short. Why anyone would make an iron like this is beyond me.

This is the third Philips iron I have had. The others have literally just worn out with age so I had no hesitation in buying a new one.
I read the instructions and put it on the ironing board and imagine my horror to realize that the power cord is one third shorter than my old one. How one is expected to iron when the cord only just allows the iron to get to the centre of the ironing board I don't know.
A big fault by Philips.
The cheapest irons on the market have longer cords.

I've only just started using my new iron, and am loving it!
It has made light work of the pile of linen I had to iron which, with my previous iron, seemed to take a lot longer.
I haven't used all the functions yet, like Calc Clean, but hope to do so once I get more familiar with the appliance.
When I first used the new iron, I lifted it with the same strength that I used for my previous iron, and it nearly shot to the ceiling as the new one was so light!
I think the "Dry Ironing" option is useful, though I haven't tried it yet and look forward to doing so.
Looks like I shall be steaming through the laundry with my new toy!
