The personal Cd player is easy to use & has a great sound. I like that it also has the MP3 feature. It is quite comfortable to carry.

I find the controls very difficult to use, also the battery compartment door. why isn't this in front?
this is my 4th Philips cd player. and I am very disappointed in its design. early models were so much easier to use. Not designed for the older person.

This model has got to be the poorest example of playing MP3 audio CDs I have ever seen.
What's the point of reading an audiobook, turning the machine off and then having to search for the part of the book where you left?
I've got nothing against the looks of it, its size, weight and playing performance. I just think it was so poorly designed in the first place.
Based on that, I could not possibly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by rusty39 MP3-CD player has not many good features
Was given this new as a gift, specifically to listen to Audio Books,I am a chronic pain sufferer & do not sleep well at night. I was overjoyed when I received the player, sadly my joy was shortlived, battery compartment is in a ridiculous place, the lid of the player does not open far enough, am worried it will break, and to top it all off it appears that this player is not really good for audio books. It will play for a short time then stop for no apparent reason.

given this products as a gift, found battery compartment extremely akward to get into. lid does not open far enough to enable battery changing easily.
controls difficult to use- or refused to work
Found lid extremely stiff to open , the lid broke off within a month enabling the cd player unuseable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TomS Not good for listening to MP3 books
Playback quality is fine, however a few design flaws i do not get:
- when power is off, it "forgets" where it is, in the mp3 disc - when listening to books you will have to search for the rigth place each time you start over again
- The batteries are situated under the disc- you will have to open the unit, take out the disc and then open the batteries lid to change the batteries
- hard to get a car DC adapter for this unit
