I loved these speakers but they slowly became impossible to use as the airplay continually dropped out. This has got worse and worse and now they will not connect at all. I called Philips and they say I need to take it up with the retailer. TèThe retailer doesn't want to know. So much money wasted. Philips have made a product simply not fit for purpose.

Beautiful looking and expensive speakers. BUT, airplay connection is flaky. I spent money buying a wifi extender to boost the wifi signal (that I do not need on 3 pcs or ipad) in order to not have airplay drop out all the time. Then it was fine BUT....last week I got a clicking sound and a fast green light with no connection any more on wifi or even through the jack socket.
It has been sent off to Philips recommended repairer to see if they can fix it. Reading these forums it seems that faults are extremely common. I really hope Philips has updated the internals because if this doesn't fix it I will be returning to this forum.

Very unhappy with these speakers.
Had to have repaired only a few months after purchase & they stopped working again but now they're out of warranty.
Very poor for such a expensive item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Letdownluke Build quality means no longer works after 2 years
Have had these speakers for two years, neither the AirPlay or aux capability works any longer due to design flaws causing a lack of heat sink.
Any high cost product such as this should work as intended and to be told to pay to have the design flaw fixed is a damning indictment of the consumer approach
Put me off buying Philips products in the future

failed after only 10 months post purchase. Am about to engage with Philips/Harvey Norman to see about repair/replacement under warranty. we'll see how we go...

Couldn't wait to get my hands on these and was not disappointed.
I have a large collection of speakers and these are definitely high on my favourites list.
Had some minor problems connecting wirelessly initially and could not get the docking station to work but dont need it anyway.
Its a shame they did not have independent amplifiers and wireless receivers in each speaker to make them truly wireless (ie: no wires needed for connection between the two speakers).
The internet radio feature promised in some advertising by Philips seems to have been removed from the SoundStudio application and the . That is a shame quite frankly.
The quality of sound makes up for everything and I can't believe the quality of the finish. You would be forgiven for looking at them and thinking of a European brand which would demand a price tag four times the RRP for these babies.
