Had mine for about four years now, never had a problem with it at all. Looks great, works perfectly.

Horrible, horrible, horrible
I have purchased two of these chargers in the past six weeks, after only a few weeks they completely stop charging your Apple device and are useless. I did not abuse them, didn't bring them with me anywhere and have tried them in numerous different usb ports. SAVE your receipt if you end up purchasing this product- as it only lasts a few weeks!

Useful but may have some limitations
I bought two of these. Firstly because I wanted something to plug and charge my iPhone 4 that was not big and did not include speakers, radio, music players, etc. Secondly because I wanted something to keep the iPhone charged during the day but also to sync and back up via iTunes on my PC.
My first requirement has been completely satisfied. However, I should warn prospective purchasers if you want to use the DLC2407 to successfully sync, back up and complete iPhone 4 firmware upgrades you may need to plug the item directly into your PC. I was using mine for some time via a hub and became aware that, whilst sync was OK, backup and firmware updates did NOT work with my PC configuration.
I raised this issue with Philips Customer care. Here is their reply:
"I can confirm the DLC2407 sync and charge cable is designed and tested to work correctly while being connected to the computer directly.
As the DLC2407 sync and charge cable is designed to be connected to a computer directly it has not been tested on external devices such as USB hubs".
So now you know! The DLC2407 is useful but may have some limitations. I still rate it 4 star and would recommend it.
