I have a special needs child who is learning to tell the time 12hr time not 24hr time. Very disappointed and now have a very upset special needs child that was excited to receive it but now can't read it. Thanks for the total meltdown waste of time and money..... NOT.

In this day and age, how can you sell a clock/radio that doesn't have the option for 12 hour time??

Bought this because it have a simple stylish look ... Went to set it up which I also found hard, I had to Utube as the instructions aren't that great and it only has 24 hour time which wasn't advertised on the packaging its not good for every day people. I will be taking it back and asking for a refund really disappointed.

I purchased this product today as I recently moved house and accidentally dropped my 15 year old Sony clock radio and broke it. I chose this one as I liked the physical appearance of it not realising it only offers 24hour time as it was not shown anywhere on the packaging, I would have chosen a different clock if I knew it didn't have am/pm 12 hour time. It wasnt until I had unpacked it, thrown the box in the bin and began setting the time that I realised it only had 24 hour time. The last thing I want to have to do when I wake up during the pm hours to feed my newborn is figure out what time it actually is because I don't have an am/pm clock (I'm too sleep deprived to worry about things like that). I mean really how many people commonly refer to 24 hour time when telling the time? Disappointed but I guess I will learn to read 24hour time better?

This is the fourth Alarm Clock Radio I've purchased since the old multi-decade solution kicked the bucket. They've all been useless.
Alarm: OK, ideally two alarms with date/weekday awareness so you don't have to get up at the week-end the same time you do during the week.
Clock: 12/24 good. I want to see the time, but not in the dark with my eyes closed. Not sure where else alarm clocks get used, but in a bedroom, glaring blue lights aren't good. Had one that could shut off the display, at least until the sleep period expired and then boom, blazing blue.
Radio: 2 presets or 200, what's the diff? It's an Alarm clock, it sits in the bedroom and I listen to it twice a day, before sleep and when waking. When does anyone spend time selecting amongst all those presets. I've even had one where the alarm radio volume was fixed. You had to turn the alarm off and the radio on to adjust it...
Decades of experience, and what does progress bring us, cheap jack ill-considered single-board designs bunged together at the lowest possible price that don't meet the simple requirements the devices description requires.
Clock, Radio, Alarm... could it be any simpler?
My experience with the AJ3123 was that a few months after it was purchased it died. But by then, so had Dick Smith so no return there.
PS. Where I gave 3 stars for design, that is the appearance of the box. The user interface design wouldn't rate one star, and the user experience, look around these reviews and find the happy one.
