Philips is a global industry leader in Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle. Our mission is to improve people’s lives through innovations that matter. We don’t just invent; we entertain, we enlighten, we solve. We are a technology company that cares about people.
For over 120 years, these innovations have improved the quality of life for millions, creating a strong and trusted Philips brand with market access all over the world. In light of key global trends and challenges – e.g. the demand for affordable healthcare, the energy efficiency imperative, and people’s desire for personal well-being – we are confident in our chosen strategic direction.
Philips first opened its doors in Australia in 1926 and has been here ever since. Today, Philips employs over 700 people in Australia and New Zealand, with all activities coordinated from the Head office in North Ryde, Sydney. Through our 26 sites across Australia and New Zealand we bring together people of various skillsets and technical expertise.
We’re aiming to improve the lives of three billion people every year by 2025. It’s a truly global vision. To strive for something this ambitious, we’ll need the most gifted and enthusiastic people. We’ll need to listen to people’s needs and to each other. We’ll need to challenge convention and discover new things. But above all, we’ll need to come together and make it happen. We inject the spirit of Innovation and You in all employees across the region.
Our employees are passionate about what they do - because they are genuinely committed to enhancing the quality of as many lives as possible. Employees have the opportunity to learn, through both structured and unstructured training programs with local and global experts. With targeted learning objectives of 70% learning on the job, 20% coaching and 10% training for every employee, you’ll never be short of a challenge.
For both countries, we are looking for real, passionate people who want to contribute to making a positive difference in the world while succeeding in the workplace. People who can apply the attitudes, skills and behaviours that have made them successful in life thus far to their career’s future, and help us define what will be available next in health and well-being solutions around the world.
