Experiment with the widest variety of flavours in one coffee machine with the Saeco Moltio from Philips

November 4, 2013

Sydney, Australia – Philips has launched the Saeco Moltio, a new full automatic espresso machine with an exclusive coffee bean switcher, designed for those who strive to express their own creative genius in coffee blending by experimenting with beans and sampling the widest flavour variety.

Moltio’s patented coffee bean switcher allows the user to create their "perfect coffee", exploring countless bean varieties. The new patented 300-gram bean container is fitted with a user-friendly unlock system for easy removal and is stackable, fitting easily into the fridge for storage. Its silicon rubber lid means the container holds in the freshness, while the UV-resistant material secures all the aromas until they are unleashed, ensuring a fresh grind every time.

The Saeco Adapting System optimises each grinding cycle and guarantees an exquisite unfolding of aroma, regardless of the type of coffee bean chosen.

Even the Saeco ceramic grinders guarantee consistently accurate grinding for every kind of coffee bean. It never overheats, ensuring perfect grinding, long-lasting performance and totally silent operation. Up to five grinding settings from the finest to the coarsest, to fit everyone’s personal preferences.

Those who love crema di latte can’t do without a creamy cappuccino, just like those who love the sweetness of milk with a bold drop of coffee don’t ask for anything more than a latte macchiato. If you are the person who loves to challenge himself and his guests with latte art, Moltio features a new Automatic Milk Frother:

this tool allows the machine to instantly provide a delicious, creamy froth at the ideal temperature, thanks to its exclusive Cyclonic chamber, also able to ensure constant flow without any splashing. Many milk-based beverages like espresso macchiato, cappuccino, latte macchiato or frothed milk can be made with ease thanks to this feature.

Every coffee lover has their own personal taste and there are few things better than enjoying a beverage made to one’s exact specifications, including intensity, length and temperature. The Saeco Moltio will make a perfect cup every time, brewed according to personal preferences thanks to the Memo function, which adjusts coffee length, strength and temperature, through an intuitive display interface. At the touch of a button, a sublime beverage can be enjoyed in a favourite cup.

Coffee machines are no longer considered objects to keep "behind the scenes", hidden away from view. Aside from being the symbol of sublime taste and in-cup perfection, Saeco machines are furnishing objects to put on display in any of the home’s living areas. Moltio is pleasing on the eye, with cutting-edge design and a luxury black and silver finish which are bound to wow houseguests. The smart linear shape of the Moltio was designed to fit in with the contemporary architecture of open space settings, where the kitchen and living room form a single space. The superior-quality materials used in the creation of the machines reflect the style and taste of Italian design.

Cleaning and maintaining Moltio is extremely quick and simple, leaving the user free to dwell on the "pleasures of espresso" without the hassle. The fully automatic rinsing and de-scaling program ensures the proper maintenance of the appliance for the greatest longevity. Thanks to its easy side-access, the brewing group is removable with one-click, for regular cleaning and lubrication. Finally, the drip tray and integrated milk carafe are dishwasher-safe, simplifying maintenance and freeing up time.
