Sydney, Australia – Philips is proud to announce the launch of the Easy8 Ironing Board, which is set to change the way Australians tackle the daunting task of ironing. Designed in close collaboration with a UK-based inventor, the Easy8 gets its name from its eight distinctive and time-saving features including a special retractable ShoulderWing system that makes ironing shirts easier than ever before.
The Philips Easy8 combines an extra-large board shape, measuring 45 x 120cm, with a multi-layered board cover for a smooth gliding and more efficient ironing experience.
The board cover has three layers, which have been carefully tested to provide the best gliding action. The bottom felt layer absorbs condensed steam, the middle foam layer provides smooth ironing, whilst the top cotton layer provides heat protection.
In addition to saving busy households time, the Easy8 includes features to make ironing a more convenient experience. With the Easy8 you can hang garments directly after ironing on the garment hanger, and the useful storage basket allows users to store other ironing aids, personal belongings like mobile phones, or even the remote control for those who tackle their ironing in front of the television.
Unlike traditional ironing boards, the Easy 8 has been designed specially for use with steam generators such as the Philips PerfectCare and features a stable extra-large iron tray.
For safety, the Easy8 allows users to keep the iron cord out of the way with a special cord holder feature. It also includes anti-slip, protective feet caps and a child and transport lock for extra safety.
