A total of three products including the FreeStreet street lighting system, the Fidelio Docking Speaker and the SensoTouch 3D shaver were Philips finalists for the Australian Design Awards. Earlier this year, all three of these products were amongst the Philips products successfully recognized with iF awards.

About the SensoTouch 3D shaver:
The innovative electric shaver for both wet and dry combines design-led innovation with advanced technology to create an iconic and pioneering product. It has a seamless and ergonomically designed body that is comfortable to hold, allowing for a preferred shaving experience. The body has a hidden display that adds a touch of sensorial surprise and magic via an inviting light effect. The animation is initiated through motion sensing that reacts when touched, thus making visible the discreet On/Off switch.

Philips’ design was last nominated for the Australian Awards in 2008, when both the Philips Aurea FlatTV and Arcitec electric shaver received awards. This year, Philips products are finalists in both the ‘consumer’ and the ‘architectural and interior products’ categories. The nominated products will be featured during the upcoming Finalists exhibition on July 21st in Melbourne.
