February 16, 2011

Sydney, Australia – Philips, renowned for its dedication to quality and innovation, is pleased to announce a new range of straighteners, designed to ensure healthy-looking, shiny hair with minimum heat damage from regular use of styling products.

The new range includes the Philips ProCare Keratin Hair Straightener (HP8361), which uses advanced keratin technology to reveal and protect the lustre of the hair, ionic conditioning for shiny, frizz-free locks, and adjustable temperature settings for reduced heat damage.

“The Philips ProCare Keratin Hair Straightener allows you to bring out the natural shine of your hair and achieve salon-style results thanks to its clever use of keratin while straightening,” said Peter Bosscher, Senior Manager, Business Development Personal Care & Domestic Appliances for Philips Australia & New Zealand. “Philips’ new range of hair straighteners style professionally while caring for the hair.”
The Philips ProCare Keratin Hair Straightener features digital, adjustable heat settings and 230°C professional temperature to provide smooth, salon results. Ready to use in just 15 seconds and with an easy lock function for convenient storage, the ProCare Keratin Hair Straightener is a great styling tool for all occasions. The 110mm-plate length means more hair can be straightened with every stroke, while the smart touch-up setting allows for restyling throughout the day at a reduced temperature to give hair better protection from heat damage. Also featuring sonic pulse technology, the ProCare Keratin Hair Straightener provides gentle and pleasant vibrations which evenly distribute hair over the plates to help style and care for each strand of hair. The straightener has a recommended retail price of $79.95.
